Safety is of utmost importance to Marine Interior Systems and our record substantiates it. Our company conducts specialized safety/training  for employees in the following areas: Safe work practices, safety supervision and enforcement, tailgate safety meetings, emergency

procedures, incident reporting, first aid procedures, accident investigation, new employee orientation, and fire protection and  prevention.

Our sister company, Insulations, Inc. whose safety department we share, recently received the ABC "STEP" Award, Golden Triangles Safety Award of Merit, and one of the most prestigious construction safety awards possible, the Business Roundtable Construction Industry Safety Excellence Award "CISE" on two separate occasions. This award is given to recognize the diligent efforts  of companies who have created world-class construction site safety  programs and achieved exemplary results in their commitment to an  injury-free workplace.

Marine Interior Systems' EMR has averaged 0.54 over the past four years. EMR is the acronym for Experience Modification Rate that reflects the safety rating of a company.  A lower EMR means fewer accidents. Some contractors have adopted the policy of limiting bidders to those who have an EMR  below a certain threshold level. The table below shows EMR's for contractors in the construction industry based on a study by Stanford University.

Marine Interior Systems implements a Quality Management System based on twenty-two procedures patterned after ISO 9000, which is broken down into three categories: Internal Quality System Audits, Systematic Identification of Deficiencies and the correction thereof, and a Material Control System, which prevents the use of incorrect material.
